Home Depot is a trigger for me.
How pathetic.
Just remembering that they sell razorblades is enough to make me want to do it.
More interestingly, for me at least, I found my Grandmother's father online.
Not him really, but information about him.
which was pretty cool.
He was in Dachau, the concentration camp, for being in the resistance.
And I guess the Germans keep really good records because I found
all kinds of information about him like his birth date. And his Prisoner number.
and all kinds of things.
And then my grandmother told me that he had a brother and she and her family
had no idea what happened to him after the war.
So I looked and I found out that he died in Neuengamme.
And I just found it sad that I knew and they never did.
all I had to do was search his name online and I found it (eventually)
but his whole family just had to assume he was dead just because he never came home.
The saddest part is that he died in April of 1945 and they liberated the camp in May of that year.
My Grandmother is glad that she finally knows now.
I love her.
